About the role

Provide expert care for neonatal patients across acute, critical, and chronic spectrums within a Level III NICU. Responsibilities include managing a patient caseload, attending high-risk deliveries, and leading neonatal resuscitations and transports.

Overview The Section of Neonatology of the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth- Hitchcock (CHaD) is seeking a full time Advanced Practice Provider to join our team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Neonatologists at our main academic site in Lebanon, NH.

The ideal candidate will provide expert care across the spectrum of neonatal illnesses, from acute/critical to intermediate and chronic care, embracing the philosophy of family-centered care.

The Neonatal APP will be responsible for the primary care of a caseload of patients, attending high-risk deliveries, serve as a team leader in neonatal resuscitations and team leader for critically ill neonatal transports.

The Section of Neonatology includes 7 neonatologists and over a dozen advanced practice providers who provide care for infants in the ICN, a 30-bed regional Level III NICU.

DHMC is the primary referral center for high-risk maternal fetal care in the region, serving medical and surgical patients from most of New Hampshire and eastern Vermont.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Graduate program as a PA or Neonatal APRN
  • National certification as an NNP or PA-C
  • Previous Neonatal experience preferred Required Licensure/Certifications
  • Eligible for NH licensure as an APRN or PA
  • Eligible for DEA registration
  • Successful completion of NRP program

Requirements

Candidates must have completed an accredited graduate program as a PA or Neonatal APRN with national certification (NNP or PA-C). Required credentials include eligibility for NH licensure, DEA registration, and successful completion of the NRP program.
