As the Behavioral Health Services Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a vital member of a dynamic team responsible for diagnosing responses to actual or potential health problems and for providing basic emergent, supportive, and restorative care through use of the nursing process. Responsibilities:
Accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients in our Psychiatric Inpatient Program.
Assesses the health status of patients/families by means of comprehensive health history and physical examination.
Initiates selected therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations, and laboratory examination, interprets findings, and alters plan of care according to collaborative practice agreement and protocols in designated area.
Educates and counsels in the areas of health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses.
Documents findings and plan of care in the patient's medical record.
Consults with physician per established Day Kimball Hospital policy.
Intervenes to provide a safe environment and evaluates effectiveness of intervention for patients.
