Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN)
Full-Time, Third Shift
The Adolescent Psychiatric unit is an 14-bed acute stabilization unit for adolescent patients with a primary psychiatric/chemical dependency diagnosis. The Adolescent inpatient psychiatric program specializes in adolescent acute care for patients aged 12 - 17 with primary DSM5 or ICD10 diagnosis.
Performs care requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards.
Provides safe, high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.
Monitors patient conditions, administers treatments and physician orders, and documents patient care accurately.
Educates patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and discharge needs.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes and continuity of care.
Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, leadership, and teamwork in daily nursing practice.
Maintains compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, licensure, and continuing education standards.
