Major responsibilities
Perform Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using General Electric (GE) Revolution, LightSpeed, BrightSpeed, and HD750 CT systems in accordance with established protocols, operating procedures, and imaging standards.
Conduct computerized post-processing of images using appropriate reconstruction software based on the anatomy or pathology being evaluated.
Obtain and document patient history and relevant clinical information to support accurate diagnosis and radiologist interpretation.
Ensure proper preparation of images and documentation, including accurate patient charging and submission for radiologist review.
Start IV lines using proper technique, prepare and administer contrast media, and monitor patients throughout CT procedures.
Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition, including initiating emergency procedures (e.g., Code Blue, respiratory distress response) as needed.
Patient experience & communication
Address routine patient concerns and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
Escalate complex or sensitive issues to appropriate leadership when necessary.
Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, physicians, and team members.
Quality assurance & equipment management
Perform quality assurance testing to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance.
Complete daily CT scanner tube warm-ups and calibrations.
Identify and communicate equipment issues to appropriate personnel; submit service requests to GE (iLinq) as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of diagnostic and support equipment.
