Echocardiographer

Overview

This is a PRN Position. UF Health Heart and Vascular (located at 3901 University Blvd. S. Jacksonville, FL.) Performs echocardiograms on adults in outpatient setting.

Qualifications

Education

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Registered
• Diagnostic
• Cardiac
• Sonographer
• Skills/Experience: Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics. Excellent interpersonal skills and customer/patient service, problem solving, time management and organizational skill, be a team player, excellent communication skills including telephone etiquette. Ability to recognize life-threatening findings and notify physicians. Ability to calculate test results. Uses good body mechanics. Maintain patient confidentiality. Serves as patient advocate. Good organizational skills basic computer data entry
• Required
• License/Certification: BLS certification from the American Heart Association CCI or ARDMS required within one (1) year of hire or transfer date.
