About the role

Provide direct patient care and assist with exercise programs under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Maintain the treatment environment by cleaning equipment and performing clerical duties such as scheduling and stocking supplies.

Position Summary

Responsible for patient care under the direction and plan of a Physical Therapist. Supervises and aids in direct patient care and other activities as needed.

Essential functions

  • Helps assist patients with their exercise programs according to an established treatment plan under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Helps guide and direct patients from equipment to equipment and around the treatment gym. Cleaning and preparing the various treatment areas and equipment before and after each patient’s session. Changing and washing patients’ towels and pillowcases after using them. Helps record the patients' progress during their exercises for the treating therapist. Able to do various clerical tasks, such as answering phones and scheduling patients for various appointments. Helps to order and stock supplies.
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED Outpatient experience preferred, not required.

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED is required for this position. Previous experience in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred but not required.
