The Cardiac Rehabilitation RN plans and provides professional nursing care for participants from referral to discharge. They coordinate care and education with the rehabilitation team and collaborate with cardiologists to manage Phase II and IV programs.

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Registered Nurse plans and provides professional nursing care to the Cardiac Rehab participant from referral to discharge. He/she coordinates the care and education of participant and family with the other members of the Cardiac Rehabilitation team, and collaborates with the attending physician and/or Cardiologist. The Cardiac Rehabilitation RN is responsible for the patients and the ongoing operation of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase II and IV programs at MercyOne Newton.

RN from accredited school of nursing. B.S. degree in nursing or related field preferred. Certification in Cardiac Rehabilitation is ideal.
At least 1 year in nursing preferred.
Current license as a Registered Nurse from the State of Iowa required.
Adheres to Standards of Care for Cardiac Rehabilitation and utilizes the nursing process.
