About the role

The role involves dispensing medications and providing medical care for patients in recovery within an outpatient rehab setting. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, collecting blood samples, and maintaining accurate medical records and inventory.

Who We Are

Symetria Recovery is the #1 outpatient rehab in Illinois and Texas. Symetria Recovery provides comprehensive substance abuse treatment with a focus on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) in a welcoming outpatient setting. Unlimited clinical services are available to our patients under our bundled-service delivery model. Key services delivered through our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) licensure include MAT, medically monitored psychiatric care, individual therapy, group therapy (IOP), 6-day-per-week nursing care, and ongoing aftercare. Most of our patients being provided with medication receive Buprenorphine products, but they can also receive Methadone, and any other FDA-approved medication for addiction. What You Will Do: Provide a leading role in treatment decisions by working closely with the Director of Nursing, Medical Provider, clinical staff, and Program Director. Responsible for dispensing medications and ensuring the appropriate medical care is administered for patients in recovery. Daily interactions with patients to provide support while assisting to improve their health and well-being. Monitors patient’s vital signs for dose changes and other physical health information, maintains accurate records reflecting data, including general information relating to treatment results. Collects blood samples from patients and monitors and attends to the physical needs of the patient. Administers injectable medications, ensuring accurate prescribed dosage and timely delivery, educating clients in management of side effects, and obtaining pre-authorization of prescriptions/medications from pharmacy, when needed. Administers and reads PPD, pregnancy tests, tuberculosis screening tests, and drug screens on patients and documents results. Maintains accurate inventory counts of all medicines and medical supplies and ensures adequate replacements are ordered on a timely basis, as well as reconciling inventory of Methadone, Suboxone, and Subutex at conclusion of dosing. Follows all Symetria policies, state regulations, federal guidelines, and DEA regulations. Employees are expected to perform all duties in accordance to work schedule and as assigned. The ability to travel to other clinics within the Houston area (Spring, College Station, Sugar Land, and Houston). Who You Are: 3+ years' experience as an LVN, LPN, or RN required Must have a current and valid LVN, LPN, or RN license with no restrictions and licensed within the state of Texas. Active driver's license in the state of the assigned clinic. Experience dispensing, handling, ordering, and stocking medications Experience working as an LVN, LPN, or RN in a substance use treatment (preferably MAT) or behavioral health setting preferred Experience using KIPU or other EMR Knowledge of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders preferred Knowledge of recovery process and terminology preferred Ability to follow and provide clear, detailed instructions. Skilled at multitasking and maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with patients and staff. Capable of working under pressure while staying organized and focused. Physically able to perform occasional bending, reaching, and stretching. Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to concentrate for extended periods. Availability is required to support staffing needs during operating hours of Monday through Thursday 5:30am-6pm, Fridays from 05:30 to 2:00pm, and Saturday mornings assigned on a rotating, alternating basis from 6:30am to 9:00am. This is a full-time position where the regular schedule consists of 8-hour workdays. The posted compensation range for this role is $31.00 to $34.00 per hour. Requirements

Candidates must have at least one year of experience and a valid, unrestricted LVN, LPN, or RN license in the state of Texas. A valid driver's license is required to travel between clinic locations in the Houston area.
