About the role

Responsible for the medical care, diagnosis, and treatment of patients within Urgent Care Clinics. Coordinates necessary tests, follow-up visits, and referrals to specialists while maintaining timely chart documentation.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, is responsible for the medical care of urgent care patients. Treats patients in Urgent Care Clinics (UC) to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary.

PART-TIME or FULL-TIME candidates will be considered.

Location

Negotiable / flexible. Clinics are located in Redmond, Woodinville, Mill Creek, Totem Lake, Kenmore, Monroe, and Bothell / Canyon Park.

Specific

Duties & Responsibilities

Works collaboratively and supportively with members of the medical staff to provide quality, urgent care medical services for all patients who present to the UC. Provides leadership at the clinic and contributes to a positive work environment, working cooperatively with other clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure access, quality, and effective use of services. Treats patients to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, request necessary tests and follow-up visits. As necessary, stabilizes patient and coordinates transportation of patient to tertiary care centers. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Completes chart documentation in a timely manner. Participates in the life of the company and the community. Vigorously engages in his/her own professional development; is a life-long learner who enhances his/her skills, using state-of-the-art technologies to maintain high standards of performance to work efficiently and effectively. Is familiar with and complies with all policies and regulations as put forth in the company’s documents. Since safety and security are everyone’s responsibility, takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect employees, patients, equipment, materials and facilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Training & Experience

Master's Degree from an accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner program or graduation from a Physician Assistant (PA) Training Program accredited by the American Medical Association Council on Medical Education Licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant with a current valid, full and unrestricted license in Washington State Current BLS and ACLS Maintains Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements Minimum two years of acute care experience required No more than twelve (12) months since last work assignment preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Familiarity with standard UC concepts, practices, and procedures. Prior use of an EMR and ability to learn a new system. Creativity, adaptability, ability to multitask Ability to work well with teammates as well as in an individual contributor role Ability to provide leadership among equals Ability to work and communicate well with all company and hospital employees as well as patients and their families Excellent written and verbal communications skills Excellent problem-solving, risk assessment, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills Excellent customer service skills Excellent professional (email, phone, letter) etiquette Ability to maintain confidential information Ability to confidently learn new technology Ability to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to travel locally

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree from an accredited NP program or graduation from an AMA-accredited PA program with a valid Washington State license. Minimum of two years of acute care experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
