Certified Pharmacy Technician I assists with preparation and distribution of medications. The Certified Pharmacy Technician I position requires specialized pharmacy education, training, and subsequent certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or comparable entity. The Certified Pharmacy Technician I role is eligible for advanced technician positions based upon job performance and successful completion of requirements for advancement established in the Pharmacy Technician Career Ladder criteria grids.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or comparable) upon hire. No prior work experience is required for this entry-level position.
