The Surgical Technologist performs indirect perioperative tasks for a diverse patient population under the guidance of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include serving as a technical expert for surgical services, second assisting, and transporting patients.
Under the guidance of a registered nurse, the Surgical Technologist participates as a member of the perioperative nursing team and performs indirect perioperative tasks for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients who are having surgical and surgical endoscopy procedures. In addition, the Surgical Technologist may be assigned to transport patients, second assisting and serve as a technical expert for a surgical service.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
