Market context

Illinois per diem respiratory therapy demand

Illinois hospitals and other acute-care settings commonly need respiratory therapists for night coverage, especially in high-acuity units where respiratory support is continuous. Per diem roles can be competitive because employers look for CoARC-accredited training, RRT certification or eligibility, and readiness to secure Illinois licensure plus CPR, with ACLS, NRP, and PALS due within 24 months. If you are considering applying, confirm your credential timeline and night-shift availability before submitting. Job requirements and benefits here are AI-summarized from the original posting, which can save you time reviewing the details.
