The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and supports patients with activities of daily living to ensure comfort and safety. They work within a self-directed patient care team to perform physical hygiene procedures and meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry OR Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units. Work Hours: 7P - 7A Weekend Requirements: Yes- Rotating Basis

Candidates must hold a certification as a CNA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA and possess American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Visual color acuity is required depending on the specific unit assignment.
