Performs routine office procedures in a safe and effective manner. Responsible for the daily maintenance of the laboratory area and equipment logs. Collects updated patient information and charts patient exam in the EMR within the time parameters of the patient appointment. Handles patient private health information within the guidelines of HIPAA and company privacy practices. Administer medications and treatments as directed. Assist other health care professionals in performing exams, diagnostic procedures, and treatments, and minor medical procedures. Provide patient education materials and communicate physician advice/instructions. Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Current Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Minnesota. Willingness and ability to work and travel between all three clinic locations. Valid Driver’s License
1+ year of experience as an LPN or Certified Medical Assistant. 1+ year of experience managing patient health information within an EMR. 1+ year of experience working within specialty care.
