The Patient Care Tech assists the professional nursing staff with the daily care of patients assigned to the Med/Surg Unit.
Duties may include but are not limited to: bathing, feeding, passing trays, making beds, assisting with ambulation, I&O, daily weights, vital signs.
The Patient Care Tech is responsible for charting in the patient’s medical record care provided.
The Patient Care Tech is responsible for assisting and serving patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort.
The Patient Care Tech is expected to follow the instructions issued by the Physician or licensed nurse according to established policies and procedures.
The Patient Care Tech seeks educational resources to maintain current knowledge and skills for his/her continuing competency.
The Patient Care Tech participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team working to attain the mission, motto, vision, and values of Adams Memorial Hospital.
