Position Summary

The role of Radiology Tech reports directly to the Imaging Supervisor. This position is responsible for directing patient flow and communicating with other technologists to ensure quality treatment and patient care. Essential Position Responsibilities Ensure effective and efficient workflow is maintained to meet departmental standards Produce high quality diagnostic images for interpretation by a Radiologist Complete all required education and provide education to staff, as needed Ensure equipment, operations, and daily functions are maintained to meet Joint Commission standards, as needed Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Licensure and Certifications: ARRT Registry and AR State Licensure or ARRT registry eligible with temporary AR state licensure; BCLS certification is required.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a radiologic technologist in a Joint Commission accredited healthcare facility, preferred.
  • Work
  • Environment: This position spends 80% of the time standing and/or walking with frequent pushing, pulling lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lb. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will spend 30% of time positioning patients and equipment. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population. Qualifications

Requirements

Requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT Registry with Arkansas State Licensure. BCLS certification is mandatory, and experience in a Joint Commission accredited facility is preferred.
