The Medical Assistant provides clinical and clerical support in an orthopedic clinic, including rooming patients and assisting providers during exams. Responsibilities also include administering injections, performing EKGs, and managing patient records in AthenaClinicals.
The Staff Pad is excited to partner with a reputed hospital in Blue Ridge, GA to hire a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join a thriving Orthopedic Clinic team. As a Medical Assistant, you’ll help ensure smooth clinic operations through clerical support and exceptional patient care.
Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities Room patients, verify patient information and prepare them for appointments Record medical histories, vital signs, and patient information in the EHR Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures Administer injections, perform EKGs, provide wound care, and conduct required in-office testing Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and clinical equipment Schedule appointments, provide financial counseling, and verify insurance information Answer and triage calls, assist with referrals, and ensure timely follow-up Perform clerical tasks, process paperwork and managing electronic files in AthenaClinicals What We Are Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent required Accredited Medical Assisting program graduate preferred At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or medical office experience preferred Current MA certification or equivalent experience required; CPR certification required within two weeks of hire Additional Requirements Ability to follow directions, manage time, and work effectively under pressure Strong communication and interpersonal skills with professionalism, empathy, and discretion Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently What You Can Expect Exceptional patient care starts with a team that feels valued, supported, and empowered - backed by comprehensive compensation and benefits every step of the way
