Sign on Bonus Eligible: $10,000 (2 year commitment) GENERAL OVERVIEW This job performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in setting up the interventional suite with appropriate instruments and supplies. 15% Utilizes proper aseptic techniques and practices standard precautions. Follows policy for medication, contrast, and specimen handling.15% Assists with preparing, positioning, and draping patients and participates in the interventional space to assure correct patient and surgical site. 15% Understands, anticipates, and adapts to interventional provider preference and patient care variables, and contributes to updating interventional provider preference materials. 15% Completes all required documentation for procedures e.g. regulatory, billing protocols and image distribution. 15% Maintains adequate supplies for efficient section/department operations. Participates in inventory control and monitoring. 15% Implements radiation protection and patient safety standards. 10% Other duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Associate's degree or Certification from a technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Radiography Certification and Registration (R ) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Preferred Prior experience working as an Interventional Radiology Technologist Additional Employment Requirements: Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification and Registration (VI) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Within 24 months of hire. Employees in an Interventional Radiology Technologist role (prior to September 1, 2024) who do not have a VI certification are not required to obtain it; employees in an Interventional Radiology Technologist role with existing VI certification are required to maintain active certifications. Employees hired or transferred into the Interventional Radiology Technologist role after September 1, 2024, are also required to maintain active certifications. CPR – American Heart Association. Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate. Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
