About the role

Coordinates and provides high-quality patient care within the endoscopy unit while optimizing operational efficiencies. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and supports a healthy work environment through staff education and professional development.

Job Summary

Provides patient care for the unit/department by optimizing operations and organizational efficiencies while promoting a world class environment.

Essential Job Duties

  • 1.
  • Communicate and collaborate with RN and other multidisciplinary departments to coordinate the appropriate care for the endoscopy patients in the most efficient and highest quality manner.
  • 2.
  • Follow all relevant specialty, federal requirements, and hospital policies and procedures, when caring for the patient and performing other tasks.
  • 3.
  • Participate in unit and hospital wide Performance Improvement activities and unit based council 4.
  • Provides direction and collaborates with team members to support a healthy work environment.
  • 5.
  • Provide education and be a resource to other staff members, students and new orientees.
  • 6.
  • Pursue lifelong education, staying current on professional changes and best practices for Endoscopy.
  • 7.
  • Be responsible for your FTE Hours.
  • 8.
  • Maintain financial responsibility in helping to stay within the unit’s budget.
  • 9.
  • Communicate any issues with equipment and supplies with Nurse Manager.

Secondary Job Duties

1. Other duties as assigned.
