• Nurse
• Tech who excels in this role: Provides basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Monitors and records vital signs, intake and output, and reports changes in patient condition to nursing staff. Assists patients with activities of daily living including, bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and ambulation. Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings. Maintains patient rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized care environment. Supports nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow. Manages tech desk operations and assists with maintaining efficient department throughput. Documents patient care and activities in accordance with hospital and unit standards. Participates in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned. More About Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas Highpoint Health – Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas is a 157-bed facility that includes 131 licensed acute care beds and 26 skilled nursing home beds. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, the hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services supported by a qualified and diverse medical staff. Key services include a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a 12-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, and a 12-bed Acute Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit.
