Where You Will Work

The Med-Surg unit at Atrium Health Lake Norman is a 24-bed unit offering a fast-paced, team-focused environment dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Nurses on this unit manage a diverse range of medical and post-surgical patients, providing valuable experience and opportunities to build strong inpatient clinical skills. With a bedside ratio of 1:6, the unit supports safe, efficient care while fostering collaboration among nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary teams. Teamwork, communication, and a commitment to compassionate care are at the core of the unit’s culture.

Expectations We’re Looking For

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
  • 1 year of med surg experience preferred

    Requirements

    Requires a nursing degree, a valid state Registered Nurse license, and BLS certification, with ACLS required within six months. One year of medical-surgical experience is preferred.
