The CT Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations while providing compassionate, age-appropriate patient care. They are responsible for maintaining data integrity and adhering to all regulatory agency and safety protocols.

Job Overview

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN!

This is a casual position that will work as needed by the department.

There are day/evening/night/weekend shifts available to pick up. *If the majority of your allocated shift hours are worked between 3pm – 11pm, your hours worked in this shift will receive an additional $6.00 per hour, on top of your base rate & shift differentials. *If the majority of your allocated shift hours are worked between 11pm – 7am, your hours worked in this shift will receive an additional $8.00 per hour, on top of your base rate & shift differentials.

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities.

The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Responsibilities

Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes Performs individualized, compassionate patient care Performs high quality examinations Identifies relevant data from images accurately Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs. Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional Verify patient identification and documentation Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures Ensures patient data integrity Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes

Required Qualifications ARRT Radiology Tech Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

1 year or more years of experience in a related role Previous ambulatory care experience preferred. Additional certifications in Imaging ARRT CT certification or successful completion within 18 months within 1-1/2 Yrs Strong interpersonal skills.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract.
