Locum/Relief Veterinary Technician at VCA Knapp's Corner Animal Hospital The Role As a Credentialed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant with 3+ years Emergency experience. , you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care.
You’ll work closely with our veterinarians to support a variety of medical procedures while helping guide clients through their pet’s care with confidence and compassion.
What You’ll Do Provide exceptional nursing care to emergency patients.
Collaborate closely with ER Doctors and fellow technicians.
Perform triage assessments and assist with patient stabilization.
Utilize advanced technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, diagnostic imaging, laboratory diagnostics, oxygen therapy, and blood transfusion support.
Monitor hospitalized and ICU patients, recognizing subtle changes in patient status and communicating findings to the medical team.
Assist with emergency procedures and advanced treatments.
Educate clients and provide clear discharge instructions.
