About the role

The Clinical Technician III provides direct patient care and assists with activities of daily living under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include observing patient status changes, transporting patients, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Job Description

Purpose & Scope: The Clinical Technician III works under the direct supervision of the RN and is an active member of the health care team. Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the Clinical Technician performs a variety of routine duties involving the care of patients including performing direct patient care or activities of daily living, observing changes in the status of patients, providing a clean and safe environment, transporting patients, and other related duties. Clinical Technicians must be empathetic and have good communication and nursing skills to care for patients.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Experience: 1 year experience as a Clinical Technician II as defined in the core skills for Clinical Technician III, or 1 year experience as a Clinical Technician II who has successfully completed the VHC Health Clinical Technician III education, or Completed a training program meeting core skills & competencies, or Successful completion of the

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification are required. Candidates must have one year of experience as a Clinical Technician II or have completed a relevant training program or nurse externship.
