A Brief Overview The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of nursing care based on AORN standards of care and professional nursing practice: accountable for outcomes of nursing care delivered.
What you will do
Prepares patients for surgery and addresses their concerns.
Ensures the operating room is sterile, and secure necessary supplies and instruments for surgery.
Hands over medical supplies to attending surgeons during operations.
Monitors patients’ physical and emotional well-being throughout the care continuum, and observes patient vital signs.
Informs attending surgeon of issues and anomalies.
Licenses and Certifications
Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in good standing with South Carolina Board of Nursing Required
Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire and recertification every two (2) years Required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred

Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in Nursing and a valid South Carolina RN license. BLS certification is required, while a BSN, MSN, and ACLS certification are preferred.
