The RN provides patient and family education regarding procedures and manages discharge planning. They are responsible for monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring patient safety before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
Saint Joseph's Medical Center is seeking an Interventional Radiology RN to provide education to the patient and family members to ensure understanding of the procedure and plan of care before signing procedural consent and providing them with discharge planning/instructions.
Check and verify vital signs, meds, NPO status, lab results, and medical history.
Inserting and removing intravenous lines.
Administering medications including moderate sedation.
Monitoring patient patterns and vital signs during the procedure.
Overseeing the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after procedures.
Circulate/scrub procedures as needed.
Providing post-procedure monitoring: Includes observing for signs and symptoms of complications, such as bleeding from the puncture site, pain, and/or changes in mental status or vital signs.
Minimum of 1.5 years of related clinical experience required
Radiology experience and IV skills highly preferred
BCLS required; ACLS preferred
$54.2743 Rate increases based on years of experience
