In this role, you will perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures while working independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll utilize your technical expertise and clinical judgment to deliver high-quality imaging while ensuring a positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities Verify patient identity using two identifiers and follow universal protocol standards Review physician orders and patient history to ensure accurate and appropriate imaging Perform diagnostic radiography procedures independently using established protocols Safely operate imaging equipment to capture, analyze, and document high-quality images Administer oral (PO) and rectal contrast in accordance with physician orders and department policy Ensure all exams are properly documented, coded, and tracked in RIS and archived in ISITE Accurately enter charges for procedures performed Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation Collaborate with team members and other departments to support efficient patient care Use independent judgment to adjust imaging techniques for optimal diagnostic outcomes What You Bring Strong technical proficiency in diagnostic imaging Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication and patient care skills A team-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and safety Compassionate approach with a focus on patient dignity and respect Why Join UPMC Williamsport?
