Inpatient Behavioral Health Social Worker Job Summary Participates as member of the multidisciplinary team Coordinates services with community mental health centers and other agencies to provide continuity of treatment. Provides services with consideration of the physical, psychosocial, cultural/spiritual, and age-specific needs of those served Performs individual and family counseling Conducts therapeutic groups with patients Meets regulatory agency requirements in provision of services Teaches/directs/advises/informs others in an appropriate manner Reports/records information correctly
Requires a BSW or MSW from an accredited school, with LCSW or LCSW-A preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of DSM IV diagnoses and crisis intervention, though new graduates are welcome to apply.
