Responsibilities include:
Evaluating patients and developing individualized treatment plans
Providing physical therapy interventions appropriate to patient needs and goals
Educating patients and families on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and restorative therapies
Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants, therapy aides, students, and support personnel
Assessing and modifying treatment plans based on patient progress
Evaluating and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices as appropriate
Establishing treatment goals and monitoring outcomes
Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation Why SageWest? Education
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Physical Therapy, required Licenses/Certifications
Must have a current State Physical Therapy License
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer Experience
Able to maintain a high awareness of patient satisfaction and teamwork
Attention to detail
Adaptable to performing well under pressure in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
Must be flexible, able to work as needed for appropriate departmental coverage
Basic computer knowledge; become proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Demonstrates proficient time management skills
Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially regarding activities impacting patient or employee safety or security
Additional languages preferred
Demonstrates knowledge of physical therapy modalities

Requirements

Requires a degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate) and a current State Physical Therapy License. BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
