Position Highlights • Specialty

  • Daytime Hospitalist — full-time, employed position at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tucson, AZ
  • Schedule: Shift-based block scheduling — 7 on / 7 off with some flexibility built in for work-life balance
  • Shift
  • Coverage: 1 swing shift and 1 nocturnist on rotation
  • Team
  • Support: Two APPs during day shifts, one APP overnight
  • Patient
  • Volume: Average daily census of 18 patients with 1–2 admissions per shift
  • ICU
  • Model: Closed ICU — Intensivist and IV Team provide procedure support
  • Teaching
  • Opportunity: Optional involvement in teaching internal medicine residents
  • Language
  • Bonus: Spanish-speaking skills a plus, but not required
