Work Shift Wellstar Health System, one of Georgia's largest and most respected health systems, is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Neurosurgeon with a strong interest in acute care neurosurgery to join a high-acuity, multidisciplinary program.
This physician will focus on the evaluation and management of emergent and urgent neurosurgical conditions, supporting trauma, stroke, and critical care services across the health system.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment, collaborating closely with emergency medicine, trauma surgery, neurology, and intensive care teams to deliver timely, life-saving interventions.
Opportunity Highlights 7 calls days over a 4 week schedule.
Acute team surgeons who evaluate and stabilize a patient during call have the first right to schedule that patient as an elective case in their own OR block.
Operating rooms with advanced imaging, robotics, and neuro-monitoring Full-time APP and clinical team support Integrated EPIC EMR system across the Wellstar enterprise Support from strong hospitalist, neurology, trauma, and intensivist teams Inpatient and OR-based practice on a Level I Trauma Center campus Ability to shape clinical protocols, referral relationships, and program growth
