Psychiatric residential specialist

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living skills and shared responsibility for all clients in the house. The weekly work schedule consists of 3-4 overnight shifts including a Saturday or Sunday. This is a full-time position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist and support residential clients in all aspects of daily living skills.
  • Support member’s healthcare needs and follow-up care.
  • Maintain the residence providing a safe and clean environment.
  • Positive role modeling and ensuring communication is respectful and culturally appropriate.
  • Complete schedules, notes, and shift logs in the EHR.
  • Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • High School diploma and 2 years’ experience working with mentally ill adults.
  • Current CPR and First Aid.
  • Valid full driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma and at least two years of experience working with mentally ill adults. Valid CPR, First Aid certifications, and a clean driving record are required.
