Position Summary

The Social Worker/Therapist plans, provides, coordinates, documents and evaluates direct and indirect social services to patients in accordance with established methods and procedures of the hospital. These services include but are not limited to group therapy, case management, discharge planning, and meetings with the family. Maintains documentation on all required admission, treatment, and discharge documents in accordance with Department/Hospital standards and requirements of regulatory bodies. Develops and implements with other clinical staff the Master Treatment Plan and updates as needed. Carries out treatment as outlined in the Master Treatment Plan for social Services regarding scope range of practice. Collaborate with the physician and the family to ensure that all aspects of the therapeutic process are implemented and carried out. Qualifications

Minimum

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university; a current Mississippi license as a LCSW, LMSW, or LPC; and two years’ experience in an psychiatric setting.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree and a current Mississippi license as an LCSW, LMSW, or LPC. A minimum of two years of experience in a psychiatric setting is required, with four years preferred.
