Formerly Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital, SRBHH was opened in 2016 and is regarded as an integral part of the greater Santa Rosa and Northern California mental health system of care. Conveniently located in the North Bay, this hospital consists of 144 acute psychiatric inpatient beds. Santa Rosa Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (SRBHH) is regarded as an integral part of the greater Santa Rosa and Northern California mental health system of care. Conveniently located in the North Bay, SRBHH serves adolescents and adults. We treat both mental health and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse conditions.

Position Title

Licensed Inpatient Therapist PAY RANGE: $60.00-$69.44 Per Hour REPORTS TO: Director of Clinical Services HOURS: 4 10-hour shifts 1 weekend day required 3 weekdays Exact days will be based on current need DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Licensed Inpatient Therapist practices sound clinical judgement, professionalism and good clinical practice. Responsible to provide quality Psycho-therapeutic Services for a unit-based caseload of adults and/or adolescents as well as support to other departmental needs. Licensed Inpatient Therapist serves as a member of an interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program, philosophy and assure the deliverance of quality treatment to patients and their support systems. They are the lead facilitator of the patient’s treatment plan and continuously monitor the implementation of active treatment with assigned patients. The Licensed Inpatient Therapist maintains knowledge of, participates in further training provided, and understands the potential risks regarding occupational health hazards (e.g. bloodborne pathogen exposures). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Completes initial psychosocial assessment and clinical documentation within 72 hours of patient's admission to the hospital. Ensures compliance with all treatment plan requirements including weekly reviews and updates with the patient (indicated by patient signatures, initials and dates that each review is completed). Consistently documents treatment, interventions, face-to-face contact and collateral information provided to patient in the medical record (i.e., Progress Notes) based on clinical scope of practice. Facilitates psychoeducation and process groups and follows the hospital schedule promptly, completing individualized group notes. Completes all reports for Tarasoff and suspected abuse as legally mandated and consistently informs Social Services Leadership. Conducts family sessions for adolescents and for adult patients. Completes Release of Information accurately and completely. Attends all scheduled Social Services/Clinical meetings, arriving prepared and without need for prompting and in a timely manner. Provides training and support to new onboarding therapists and to Associate Therapists when clinically appropriate. Will communicate regularly with Social Services leadership regarding any questions, challenges, or clinical training needs as they arise, as well as individual professional development and learning objectives as it pertains to their scope of practice and job expectations. Comply with HIPAA and LPS guidelines. Maintains effective working and professional relationships and communications with internal and external partners. Consistently carries out above outlined job responsibilities while maintaining appropriate boundaries and professional demeanor. Performs related duties, as requested. Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge and Experience: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or closely related field. Two years of behavioral health experience and experience working with Severely Mentally Ill and Group Facilitation preferred. Current Associate registration for LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC license in good standing with the California BBS, or PsyD in good standing with BOP. Current active registration as a Clinical Supervisor or eligibility to complete requirements for CA BBS/BOP Clinical Supervisor within 90 days of hire as requested by Social Services Leadership. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required, or obtained within initial orientation period. Verbal de-escalation and physical intervention program as approved by the CNO. Skills and Abilities: Maintains confidentiality of patients at all times. Sensitivity to and willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds. Proficiency with software and/or equipment (Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.) Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects, work relatively independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills. Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as well as possessing the skills to lead, influence, and motivate others. Ability to work in a fast-paced, expanding organization. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is frequently required to do the following: Use standard office equipment and access, input, and retrieve information from a computer. Use computer keyboard with manual and finger dexterity and wrist-finger speed sufficient to perform repetitive actions efficiently for extended periods of time. Communicate effectively in person or via telephone in a manner which can be understood by those with whom the person is speaking, including a diverse population. Give and follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail and accuracy. Perform complex mental functions and basic arithmetic functions; interpret complex laws, regulations, and policies; collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or MFT and a valid California BBS/BOP license (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or PsyD). Preferred candidates have two years of behavioral health experience and current CPR certification.
