Position Summary

The CT (Computed Tomography) Tech nights is responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients at various healthcare facilities. This position involves traveling to different locations, operating CT equipment, ensuring accurate imaging, and delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is adaptable, highly skilled in CT procedures, and committed to maintaining patient safety and comfort.

  • Operations: Perform CT imaging procedures per physician orders and departmental protocols. Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring proper functionality and calibration. Utilize imaging techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
  • Patient
  • Care: Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring comfort and accurate positioning. Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns to reduce anxiety. Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any medical emergencies.
  • Compliance and
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, including radiation safety and infection control standards. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other legal requirements. Follow policies and procedures for contrast administration and handle any related complications.
  • Documentation and
  • Communication: Accurately document patient information, scan details, and other relevant data. Communicate effectively with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare teams regarding patient scans and findings.
  • Travel and
  • Adaptability: Travel to various healthcare facilities, adapting to different environments and equipment. Flexibly adjust to varying schedules, workflows, and team dynamics.

Qualifications

Education

Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

Certification

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography and CT. State-specific licensure, if applicable.

Experience

Minimum of 1-2 years of CT scanning experience, preferably in diverse settings. Previous travel or multi-site experience is a plus.

Skills

  • Proficiency in operating CT equipment and performing diagnostic procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently in various settings.

Schedule

Night shift hours with rotating weekend coverage.
