Schedule / Expected Work Hours

10:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Evening shift) Days needed: Every Mon, Fri and Sat Flexible availability preferred for additional coverage if needed Job Summary

As a caregiver for this Client, you will provide essential non-medical home care support focused on safety, mobility assistance, and personal care needs during evening hours. The client is wheelchair-bound and requires hands-on assistance with transfers, personal care, and safety monitoring in a private home setting.

Caregivers must provide compassionate, patient-centered support while following care plan instructions carefully, especially regarding mobility and skin protection due to existing wounds.

Responsibilities

Assist with transfers from wheelchair to bed Provide heavy assistance with mobility and positioning Handle client gently due to wounds on both feet Assist with putting on depends / incontinence care Provide personal care support while maintaining dignity and comfort Ensure safety and proper positioning in bed Remind or assist with blood sugar monitoring (finger stick) if needed Maintain client safety and report any condition changes immediately Ensure phone, remote, and essential items are within reach Follow infection control and wound-awareness precautions Provide companionship and reassurance during evening routine Assist with bedtime preparation and comfort care Important Care Considerations

Client is wheelchair-bound and high fall risk Requires gentle handling due to bilateral foot wounds History of multiple chronic conditions including: Diabetes (insulin dependent) Neuropathy Lymphedema Urinary incontinence Must be attentive to comfort, skin integrity, and safety at all times

Qualifications

Experience in home care or caregiving preferred Experience with wheelchair transfers and mobility assistance required Ability to provide gentle personal care for clients with wounds Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Physical Requirements

Ability to assist with heavy transfers and repositioning Ability to stand, bend, and assist with mobility support Must be able to safely support wheelchair-bound client needs Additional Notes

Client lives alone and requires evening support for safety and bedtime routine Transportation may occasionally be needed, but client also uses external transport services Client has a cat in the home Company Overview
