RAYUS Radiology is looking for a MR & CT Technologist to join our team.

As a MR & CT Technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) imaging scanners to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.

Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a full-time position working Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 8:00am-6:30pm and Friday 7:00am-5:30pm, no weekends.

Essential duties and responsibilities: (80%) Patient Imaging

1.

Performs routine and advanced imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats 2.

Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination 3.

Prepares patients for MRI and/or CT procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned 4.

Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed 5.

Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologists, referring offices and other team members and peers 6.

Converses with physicians, nurses, patients and family members as required 7.

Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect themselves, patients, and other team members 8.

Maintains accurate patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS) 9.

Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and other team members 10.

Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(15%) Department Support

1. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use 2. Assists with maintaining an updated MRI and/or CT protocol manual and software upgrades 3. Monitors medical supply inventory 4. Assists with training of new team members and acts as a resource, providing technical expertise

(5%) Performs other tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required

1.

High School diploma, or equivalent 2.

Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography 3.

ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need 4.

Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable 5.

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification 6.

Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI & CT procedures independently 7.

Certification in imaging specialty(ies)

Requirements
