Market context

California OB tech roles stay consistently needed

In California, OB Technician roles in labor and delivery are typically in steady demand because hospitals need support for births, patient transport, and unit readiness across variable shifts. These positions can be competitive when candidates already have BLS/CPR, a high school diploma or GED, and any surgical or obstetrical technician training, since preferred technical credentials can strengthen an application. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save time, then confirm whether your certification status and availability match the per diem schedule before applying.
