Position Details

Job Title: Medical Assistant Practice: Total Joints, Adult Reconstruction, and Trauma; Nathan Cafferky, MD Status: This is a full-time, year-round; Benefits Eligible Classification: Non-Exempt - Hourly Location: This position is primarily based at our Vail Clinic location with frequent travel required to our Frisco and Edwards clinic locations.

Medical assistant overview

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting our providers and enhancing patient care. You'll assist with patient interactions, maintain accurate medical records, and handle administrative tasks, including scribing, to ensure smooth operations. We’re seeking a motivated individual to join our busy team, where your contributions will directly impact the quality of care we provide. Core responsibilities

  • Fields patient phone calls promptly and in a professional manner. Assists with administrative tasks as directed by the Practice Coordinator. Assists provider and PA/ATC with clinical operations. Available to room patients, remove sutures, and prepare patients for scheduled clinical procedures. Completes shift opening and closing procedures.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN or RN licensing/certification, preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred. Demonstrated problem solving and workflow management skills required. Must maintain a professional attitude towards patients and an excellent and collegial working relationship with other Steadman Clinic and hospital personnel in involved in patient care. Excellent critical thinking skills, ability to work independently, and manage time effectively. Computer and EHR software proficiency.
