Responsibilities

  • Performs Breast sonographic procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provides patient education in the form of written material and/or verbal explanation prior to, during and subsequent to the procedure in order to reduce the patient’s anxiety and enhancehis/her comfort zone with respect to tolerance of the procedures
  • Produces examinations that meet image quality standards in accordance to department protocols.
  • Submits images for physician interpretation.
  • Verifies accuracy of: patient demographic information, pertinent clinical diagnosis, and required technical results. Data must be entered accurately and in a timely fashion to provide optimalpatient care.
  • Verifies all technical data entry components are complete prior to the end of shift.

  • Qualifications

    Education and / Or certification/Licensure:

    Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography with 1-3 years work experience.

    American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification is mandatory. RDMS (Breast) required.

    Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification required. EXPERIENCE: -

    1-3 years of Ultrasound Experience

    The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $35.25-$52.90, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.

    Requires a degree from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography school and 1-3 years of ultrasound experience. Mandatory certifications include ARDMS, RDMS (Breast), and Basic Life Support (CPR).
