About the role

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for administering radioactive medications and operating imaging technology to track radiation in patients. Duties include sterilizing equipment, preparing patients for scans, and processing image reports to detect diseases.

Baptist Health is currently looking to add a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to our Nuclear Medicine Department at Baptist South located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time days opportunity.

A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan, and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease. Experience with geriatric and cardiac patients preferred.

This Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for the following

Performing high-quality diagnostic procedures.

Knowledge of State of (and adherence to) Florida rules and regulations regarding Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials.

Protecting patients, self, and others from unnecessary/excessive radiation exposure.

Complying with mandatory education and health requirements.
