The Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect care to Veterans, including conducting assessments and administering medications. They collaborate with the PACT team and educate patients and families on procedures and discharge planning.
Aptive Resources is hiring Primary Care Registered Nurses to provide direct and indirect nursing care to Veterans at the Dayton VA Medical Center.
Conduct patient assessments and develop nursing care plans Administer medications and IV therapies; document in EHR Carry out and document physician orders Monitor vital signs, interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to emergencies Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and discharge planning Collaborate with interdisciplinary PACT team Participate in daily huddles, weekly calls, and quality improvement activities
Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Current, active Ohio RN license Current BLS certification; ACLS required if assigned to specialty clinic Minimum 1 year direct patient care within the last 3 years; VA experience preferred Must pass background investigation (Tier 1/Low Risk); PIV card required Must complete required VA mandatory training prior to start

Candidates must be graduates of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program with a current Ohio RN license and BLS certification. A minimum of one year of direct patient care within the last three years is required.
