Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registry eligible.
Current BCLS certification. Maintains all registries and licenses required by state and federal law.
Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography required.
One year of radiologic/imaging experience. Specific experience and training in Medical Sonography. Vascular and obstetric experience required.
Possesses knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Department specific training.
Proficiency with most major Medical Sonography equipment, manufacturer's hardware and software.
Ability to comply with on-call specifics.
Proficient in the use of a personal computer including word processing. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to independently take initiative and exercise good judgment in decision-making. Ability to work efficiently and effectively under deadline pressures and to simultaneously handle multiple projects.
