Market context

New York oncology roles stay highly specialized

In New York, small animal boarded oncologist roles typically reflect steady demand in specialty referral settings, where advanced cancer care and collaboration with primary veterinarians are central. These positions are competitive because employers usually look for a DVM, ACVIM board certification in Oncology or residency completion, New York licensure or eligibility, and prior specialty experience. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save time, then confirm licensure timing and referral-case experience before applying.
