We offer emergency care, family medicine, gastroenterology, vascular, imaging, internal medicine, orthopedics, pediatric services, rehabilitation, women’s health, and wound care services.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience administering vascular, minimal pediatric, neuro, regional, and orthopedic anesthesia, as well as anesthesia for outpatient surgery.
  • Graduate of a program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs
  • The minimum education requirement for those hired after March 1, 2019, is a master’s degree, or higher, with the concentration in Nurse Anesthesia.
  • Insurable by the medical malpractice insurer of MUSC for the required limits.
  • Must be recognized as an APRN to be eligible, with current license to practice, or eligibility to obtain practice in the state of South Carolina.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) require either a certification from an American Health Association (AHA) for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Provider.

Anesthesia Care Team/Medical Supervision Model for Lancaster

CRNA Only Model for Chester

Cases: Urology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Kidney Transplants, OB with a separate dedicated night team (optional).

8, 10, & 12-hour shifts with separate dedicated night and weekend call staff.

USGRA, SAB, LE, central lines.

Collaborative Practice Environment.
