The Surgical Technologist III ensures the sterility and availability of OR supplies and equipment before daily caseloads. They provide scrub services by handling instruments and adhering to aseptic techniques during various surgical procedures.
Under the general supervision of the circulating registered nurse and in collaboration with the service-line coordinators, clinical supervisors and surgery manager, the surgical technologist III is an individual with demonstrated competence in surgical scrubbing technique(s) who provides scrub services for the department by:
Ensuring the functionality, availability and sterility of OR supplies and equipment prior to the start of the daily caseload.
Scrubbing and handling instruments during surgical procedures.
Adhering to standards of aseptic technique in all phases of surgical intervention.
Demonstrating competence in performing scrub services for a variety of surgical procedures.
Assisting service-line coordinators in receiving and stocking supplies/equipment for a cluster of specialties

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Requires completion of an accredited surgical technologist course or 10+ years of experience, along with CST and BLS certifications. Candidates must have 5 years of experience with competence in specific surgical service-line clusters.
