Since opening our state-of-the-art facility in 2022, we've expanded access to advanced Emergency & Critical Care, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Integrative Medicine, and Diagnostic Imaging.

Our Cardiology team provides advanced diagnostics and treatment while fostering a collaborative culture centered on mentorship, continuous learning, and exceptional patient care.

In your day-To-Day, you will

Assist board-certified cardiologists and technicians with patient restraint, handling, and treatment procedures.

Prepare patients for advanced cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiograms, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, radiographs, and Holter monitor placement.

Collect laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and other diagnostic specimens.

Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate electronic medical records.

Monitor hospitalized patients and promptly communicate changes in condition.

Assist with catheter placement, medication administration, and sample preparation as directed.

Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and medical equipment.

Provide compassionate client communication throughout appointments and procedures.

Support workflow coordination within the Cardiology department while collaborating with other specialty services.

Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.

Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

What you bring

Previous veterinary assistant experience required; specialty or emergency experience preferred.

Strong animal handling and restraint skills.

Experience collecting laboratory samples.

Knowledge of basic veterinary nursing and patient care procedures.

Familiarity with Holter monitor placement preferred.

Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Ability to lift and assist in restraining animals weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
