Job Summary: Full time

The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment and for scanning patients in all aspects of cardiac scanning including M-Mode, 2-D, color, Doppler, exercise testing, and TEE.

This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

This position reports to the Echo Department Supervisor and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in radiology or equivalent certification required
  • Candidates must meet registry requirements and be certified as an RCS (CCI) or RDCS (ARDMS), within one year of hire
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician preferred
