About the role

The nurse is responsible for assessing patients, planning and implementing care, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions within the Radiology department. They must maintain continuity of care and incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures.

Plano, TX 75093 Work hours: PRN; Wednesday and Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm with rotating call and holidays Radiology Department Highlights: · Variety of exams performed · Comprehensive Stroke Center, Trauma Center, Advanced Cardiac · Fast paced high acuity and volume facility around 120 exams a day · Collaborative Radiologist Group including Interventionalist and Neuro Interventionist · Strong relationship with ED and Nursing

Here’s What You Need · Diploma in Nursing required or · Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or · BSN preferred · Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign exchange equivalency required · One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program. · One year of Radiology experience preferred · Experience in ICU or ED with conscious sedation highly preferred · RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required · BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly · ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required · PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required What You Will Do · Assesses the patient · Plans the care of the patient · Intervenes as appropriate · Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions · Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. · Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information · Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Requirements

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse with at least one year of clinical experience or completion of an RN residency. Required certifications include BCLS, with ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire.
