Provides essential personal hygiene and daily living assistance to residents in accordance with nursing home standards. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with meals, and responding promptly to resident call lights.
Performs resident functions in accordance to nursing home standards of practice. Position Responsibilities: Provides for resident's personal hygiene: gives bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves, and assists with showers. Provides for activities of daily living: assists with meals and feeds patients; ambulates, turns, and positions patients; provides fresh water and nourishment between meals. Performs I&O; checks vital signs and weight; assists with specimen collection; and post-mortem care. Provides for comfort needs of residents Promptly answers resident's call lights and requests. Other duties are requested within scope of practice Position Requirements: Required Education: Successful completion of nursing assistant course Certified Nursing Assistant Certification to practice in the state Night Shift - current BLS required.
Requires successful completion of a nursing assistant course and a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification for the state. Current BLS certification is mandatory for those working the night shift.
